Rejoice and be glad

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it”

Every day is a precious gift from Almighty God. We should wake up every morning with a grateful attitude, full of faith and expectancy for what the Lord has in store. Sure, you may be facing some challenges in your every day life, or maybe things aren’t going the way you planned, but remember, each new day is a chance to stand strong in the midst of adversity and see the faithfulness of God.
Be glad that God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. Be glad that God has given you a sound, healthy mind. Rejoice that He is making a way where there seems to be no way! You’ll rise up higher and set the course to live in victory all the days of your life!

A Travel to Davao City

One of my greatest adventures was traveling to Davao City. From my hometown, Cagayan de Oro City, it took me more than 6 hours travel to reach Davao City. Along the way, I had seen beautiful sceneries, mountains, trees, rivers, and falls.
From this travel experienced, I wasn’t really satisfied for I never had the chance to visit some of their tourist's main attractions like The Philippine Eagle Nature Center and Crocodile Park because of the bad weather. Instead, my Aunt and I traveled around the Davao City, the biggest city of Asia, we went from one place to another for sightseeing. Davao City is being known to its fruit baring trees like Durian, Chinese Pomelo and Rambotan.
We've seen mountains, hills and fertile valleys with many orchids and animals especially the endangered Philippine Eagle.
We also got the chance of crossing the ocean to reach the White Sand Paradise Island of Samal Island. Samal Island is one of the best Islands for scuba diving.

A Dog as a Pet

At the age of 6, I had a traumatic experienced with dog, when my bestfriend died because of rabies. We were both too little that time and the usual thing we did was going out to play at our neighbor’s houses. Until one day, we happened to visit the house of a friend who has plenty of dogs. Unexpectedly, a dog came out from his house and bitten my best friend. She pushed me away. She cried, I thought she was just afraid of the dog’s bark, but because she was bitten also. After few days, I was wondering why my best friend wasn’t come by to play with me. A friend came and told me that my playmate died because of rabies. I felt guilty of what happen because we never told our parents about it. Even my sisters and brother doesn’t know about it because we were afraid of telling them. Since then, I hate dogs and never expect to have it as a pet either.
Until last April 2006, a cousin gave me a Dalmatian Puppy. The puppy was so adorable, cute and I had no reason not to like him. Every time he saw me; he wiggled his tail and wanted me to carry him. I named him Quer-Quer, name after the main actor of Love of the Condor Heroes, a Korean Love Movie.
I had Quer-quer for more than a year before I left him to accompany my Auntie to Quezon City for more than 2 months. He was being taking cared by my little brother, niece and nephew until one day, someone took him away and never come back until now. I was very sad upon hearing the news of losing him. Until then, I never found a pet as lovely as Quer-quer.

A Travel to Bacolod City

I have gone to Negros Occidental twice particularly Bacolod City, the City of Smile. The last time, I'm with my husband and his parents, to visit their hometown and relatives. Normally, we want to know more about our partner's life or gone the places where he/she grows up before marriage. For me, I am glad to meet my husband’s relatives and friends back in his hometown before the wedding. Within four days of stay in town, we never got the chance to visit some of their main attractions. Instead, we went out to meet my husband’s friends, relatives and visit their favorite hang-out places.
I have also tried tasting Bacolod’s main delicacies and the Bacolod's pride, the Grilled Native Chicken. I had never tasted grilled chicken as delicious as Bacolod’s Grilled Native Chicken.
Hope to have more visits to Bacolod City these coming years, and to experience its yearly Masskara Festival celebrated on the 1st to 20th day of October every year.

Wisdom Teeth

The Mandibular Third Molar, commonly known as Wisdom Teeth are the third and final set of molars that most people get in their late teens or early twenties, ages 17-25 to be exact. Sometime these teeth can be a valuable asset to the mouth when healthy and properly aligned, but more often, they are misaligned and require removal.
Wisdom teeth can be positioned angled inward or outward, horizontally, angled toward or away from the second molars, but the most problem to these teeth are misaligned. Wisdom teeth that lean toward the second molars makes those teeth more vulnerable to decay by entrapping plaque and debris. Partially erupted teeth are also more prone to tooth decay and gum disease because their hard-to-reach location of brushing and flossing.
Most dentists required the misaligned wisdom teeth to be extracted before more problems develop. Removal is easier in young people, when the wisdom teeth roots are not fully developed and the bone is less dense. Recovery and healing time tend to be longer to older people.

Article of a Loving and Faithful Brother-in-Law

I am proud to have people close to me and that’s my brother-in-law, who is loving and faithful to my family. It’s been a blessing to have such a person, who treated us being part of his life and loved us wholeheartedly in spite of cultures and traditions as long as he loves my sister. My brother-in-law is currently employed at Verizon Telecommunications Company as “Fiber Optic Network Technician” for 5 years in Everett Washington. Currently, Verizon is installing Fiber Optic Phone, TV and Internet directly to a customer’s house. As a Fiber Optic Network Technician, he is working with field technician, who are installing Fiber Optics to houses. If the technicians encounter troubles or the Fiber network is not functioning, it is his job to isolate, fix the problem to restore the service to customers and accessing the network functions with software programs running on a computer.
Being a husband and a father of four, he is also serving in church on the new visitors follow up team. He manages his time for his family, work and for the Lord for he knows that the Lord is the source of his strength and gives him endurance to fulfill his responsibilities.

Strife

Proverbs 20:3 It is an honor for a man to cease from strife.
Strife is a very destructive force. It can creep into relationships by starting small, maybe through a comment or a wrong look from someone, and can then escalate into something much bigger. But when you choose to cease from strife and overlook an offense, you are acting honorably, and you are honoring God.

Travel To Cebu City

I had been to Cebu City for several times already but never got the chance to visit Cebu’s main attractions. I went there just to spent vacation at my relative’s house. Nevertheless, the greatest visit I had ever experienced was during the time when my family decided to travel to Cebu during its yearly fiesta, the Sinulog Festival. The famous Sinulog festival in Cebu City held every year on the third Sunday of January. Many tourists, foreigners and celebrities came to see and experienced the festival. The festival is characterized by a very long parade with many groups of people dressed in colorful costumes, finding their way through the streets while dancing the Sinulog. This Sinulog dance is now the traditional and ritual dance in honor of Santo Niño and accompanied by the sound of drums. We were so happy having the trip done during the Festival-seeing people dancing in the streets.
After the Sinulog festival, aside from sightseeing and mall hopping, we visited some of Cebu’s main attractions such as The Magellan’s Shrine, Taoist Temple, Mactan Island passing the Mactan Bridge, and of course, over viewing the whole city at Hill Tops of Cebu. The whole escapade was been completed with tasting Cebu's delicacies.

A Travel To Bukidnon Province

Traveling to Bukidnon is one of the greatest experiences I had in terms to scenic views, natures, traditions and cultures. From this travel, I had seen how God created our natures naturally beautiful. Seeing many people at different tribes, dialect and traditions were the best thing we encountered. According to them, the word BUKIDNONS means mountain people.
There were many attraction found along the way. The Del Monte Pineapple Plantation- there you can see the vast tracts of land at different stages of crop production. Mangima Canyon –of Manolo Fortich has a zigzag road winding up and down. Pines View Park- found at the back of the Provincial Capitol of Malaybalay City. A natural park abounds in pine trees and camping site. Matin-ao Spring and Nasuli Spring found along the way. South part of Malaybalay City is Valencia City. Between Valencia and Maramag found Central Mindanao University –an agricultural school is located at the feet of Musuan Peak.
During the travel, we never experienced exhaustion upon seeing the wonders of natures.

All Things Are Possible

Luke 18:27What is impossible with men is possible with God.
Is there a situation in your life today that seems impossible? As a child of the Most High God, you are unlimited by what you see. You are unlimited by your circumstances, the economy, or what others say because with God all things are possible! It doesn't matter how it may look in the natural, when you see things through your eyes of faith, you will see new possibilities. You will see the answer that is on its way!
It all starts by having a grateful attitude: an attitude of faith and expectancy. When you declare the promises of God over your life and meditate on His Word, it activates faith in your heart. Faith draws the good things of God into your life. When you wake up every morning, declare that with God all things are possible.

Global Warming

Global Warming- (Random House Unabridged Dictionary.) An increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the Greenhouse Effect. (Greenhouse Effect - The phenomenon whereby the earth's atmosphere traps solar radiation, caused by the presence in the atmosphere of gases such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane that allow incoming sunlight to pass through but absorb heat radiated back from the earth's surface. When sunlight reaches the surface of the Earth, some of it is absorbed and warms the surface. Because the Earth's surface is much cooler than the sun, it radiates energy as much longer wavelengths than the sun does.) The Earth has experienced numerous episodes of global warming through its history, and currently appears to be undergoing such warming. The present warming is generally attribute to an increase in the greenhouse effects, brought about by increased levels of Greenhouse Gases, (Greenhouse Gases are the gases present in the earth's atmosphere, which reduce the loss of heat into space and therefore contribute to global temperatures through the greenhouse effects. These gases allow sunlight to enter the atmosphere freely. The gases naturally blanket the Earth and keep it about 33 degrees Celsius warmer than it would be without these gases in the atmosphere) largely due to the effects of human industry and agriculture. Expected long-term effects of current global warming are raising sea levels, flooding, melting of polar ice caps and glaciers, fluctuations in temperature and precipitation, more frequent and stronger El Niños and La Niñas, drought, heat waves, and forest fires.
Scientists have spent decades figuring out what is causing global warming. They have looked at the natural cycles and events, are known to influence climate but the amount and pattern of warming that has been measured cannot be explained by these factors alone. The only way to explain the pattern is to include the effect of greenhouse gases emitted by humans.

The main cause of Global Warming
One of the first things scientists learned is that there are several greenhouse gases responsible for warming, and humans emit them in a variety of ways. Most come from the combustion of fossil fuels in Cars, Factories and Electricity production. The gas responsible for the most warming is Carbon Dioxide, also called CO2. Other contributors include methane released from Landfills and Agriculture (esp. from the digestive systems of grazing animals), Nitrous Oxide from fertilizers, Gases used for Refrigeration and Industrial Processes, and the loss of forests that would otherwise store CO2.

Living in the Rain

"Just as the rain and snow descend from the skies and don't go back until they've watered the earth, making things grow and blossom…so will the words that come out My mouth not come back empty-handed. They'll do the work I sent them to do" Isaiah 55:10-11
Rain is symbolic of God's blessing, favor, and refreshing. His Word is like rain that causes us to flourish and blossom in every area of life. Isaiah 55:10-11 says we should live like a well-watered garden, vibrant and growing. We should live under God's cloud of blessing. Eventually, the moisture is so abundant that the rain begins to fall. In the same way, your praise is like the invisible vapors that rise up to heaven and form a cloud. Eventually, your praise will activate an outpouring of God's blessing, favor, and provision in your life.

Psalms 133:1-3

"How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity...for there the Lord has commanded the blessing..."

God loves you so much. He longs to bless you in every area of your life. Deuteronomy says that He wants to bless you when you come in, and when you go out. He wants to bless and prosper everything you set your hand to. When you are living in peace and unity with the people in your life, you are positioning yourself for God's blessing.
Choose today to focus on the things that bring you together. Focus on your faith in God and dependence on His Word. As you live in unity God will pour out His blessing in your life and you will live the abundant life He has planned for you.
