Food Trip at Mandarin

After Paolo's exam, we decided to go out for lunch. We went to our favorite restaurant name "Mandarin Restaurant".

The usual orders for all of us. Hubby's, Paolo's and my favorite dish for lunch. Simple but can really satisfy our starving tummy.

What a Sunny Day after Typhoone

What a good and sunny day.

We are very happy for a good weather condition after many days of heavy rains as the typhoon named "Basyang" came and destroyed many houses and even killed many fishermen in some part of our country. Another challenge to Filipino people and altogether we will pray for the safety of everybody during this natural calamities.

Some suspended classes resumed today. Praise God!

My Hubby's Birthday

Today is another exciting day to my family. It is the birthday of my hubby and all of us are busy doing something special to make his natal day special as well.

My brother Paolo helps me baking Johnny's birthday cake and ate Mitchel helps me cooking our viands for our dinner.

A simple but heartily decorated cake for my hubby that is also made out of our love. God bless you always.

Independence Day

Today, people in United States of America is celebrating its 234th year of independence. My family and friends are having a get together party. God Bless America!!!

First day of School

The long summer vacation has finally over and students are starting to get busy for school. Some are still having the vacation hang over but some are excited to go to school once again.

My younger brother, who used to play and hang around with playmates during vacation, is very excited to go back to school once again on the first day of classes. He tries to sleep early but later he told me that he could hardly sleep because of too much excitement. This is very common to students who like what they are doing. Going to school is not a burden or just a mare routine activity but has to do more than material things that a person possesses. Education is the only thing that no one could take out from you. This is the very important treasure that most parents could hand down to their children.

Setting the Priorities

My brother Paolo has been addicted to online computer games for more than 2 years. And this year’s grading period, he got the lowest grades ever for his entire life in school. My parents were very disappointed on his performance because all of his major subjects like Math, Science, English and Civics have just got the lowest grades ever. Due to the successive of playing computer games, he never realized that he misses some of his important priorities on his life-like his studies. He even forgot to ask any help from us regarding his academic problems.

Just recently, my mom decided to hire someone who could tutor him and help him give the Math answers for his math related problems. He really needs somebody who could help him coup up with the lessons he misses for the past months. Mother tries to help and give the best in order for him to pass the subjects to continue college. Giving the best precalculus help is what mother thinks he might also need during this period.

My nephew, who is in college, had the same problem with my brother also. He just recently found out that he has started to become addicted with computer games. Mother told him to set his priorities first. Mother then recommends Jez to find someone who could help him on his academic concerns especially the College algebra problems. I am sure that he will be needing calculus help on his third year in college.

There are many things in which most students are having a hard time dealing with. There are possible obstacles in which they must overcome. The only thing that differs here is that how the person deals with the obstacles and setting the priorities in life in order to achieve the success of their desires.

Computer Games Addiction

Nowadays, playing online games, computer games, play station, PSP and etc. are becoming the most favorite hobby to most children in today’s generation. I have seen the bad effects of these games to kids and even to teenagers when they got addicted to pc games. The bad influence of these games sometimes leads them to stop studying and some got the lowest grades to all their subjects. Kids nowadays would prefer to play pc games rather than sports.

My younger brother is one of those kids who are addicted to games. For how many years he was never get rid the bad habit on giving more time playing rather than studying. This year, we let him choose for what he should see the best for him. And he said, he rather chooses studying and sports.

On my opinion, playing pc games are not bad. The only thing that makes it bad is that, when a person plays too much and forgets what the priorities in their lives are, this makes a person becomes stagnant and not progressive in life.

Keeping on Guard

School days are fast approaching. I can now smell the fragrance of the ink of my pen on the notebook. I am having a vacation hang-over since I had a great summer experience this year. It just that great experience happens in unexpected situations. Our house had been ransacked while we are on our way to the beach. Lockers are supposedly to tighten the security of our house but that did not just worked. Worst than ever they jammed especially the wood lockers, forcing us to break our cabinets to see if some of our jewelries were saved. Fortunately, some of the jewelries where is there. It was just funny because they did not manage to unlock the wood lockers forcing them to just jam it off. Those thieves are unconscious that there are lockers for sale that are as durable as we have. Good thing they didn’t took much from our house.

Going back to the school thing, I am now more vigilant to thieves; first part of my preparation is to secure a school locker. This would be one step of keeping my things safe while busy on academic field. Since I still have a Physical Education subject, I also secured my own trusted gym locker to assure that the locker will not be as lousy as security would be. Even in my car I produce a specially made alarm expecting that the feeling of being robbed will not happen to me in jeopardy. My best part of duty will be on guard while I am in school this school year. It will be one busy, vigilant year.

Global Recession

Recession has been spreading throughout the world and every one is affected by it. Majority of the countries are affected by recession and some really experienced great damage except for a few countries. We can also say the USA is the number one affected by it. People got laid off, some got big bills and even some old folk’s benefits have been removed.

In the time of downfall it is the time to sit down and think what we should do in order to survive this economic crisis. This is the time to think about business. Some people engaged into a business like franchise. In franchise you don’t have to worry of creating idea or business origin because it already exists. All you should take care is how to manage the business that is already there and make it grow.

Some big company or firm engaged on this kind of strategy to earn bigger profit. They provide franchise for sale in order to have additional income and to expand their range of services. A Sweet Evening with Leche Flan

This evening, my brother and I are preparing a sweet leche flan for our dessert. My brother is fond of something sweet after a meal. This morning he keeps on asking me to prepare him my special homemade leche flan. Hmmmm.... sounds very delicious... but I am on my diet bro. lol!! Well, I think I need to pospone my diet for tonight.

Anyway, bro thank you for helping me on preparing the leche flan.

A Friend in Middle East

My best friend Marlou is working and living in Middle East for 10 years now. He is currently working as the head chef of a hotel for about 4 years already. As part of his physical fitness routine, he is also practicing martial arts after work and aimed to reach the highest level of degree as well. Just recently,we were chatting through some social media sites like Facebook because we haven’t seen each other for quite sometime. We used to hang out during our college days and together we practice taekwondo with some of our best friends during our free hours.

As part of conversation, we reminisce all the funny stuffs we all have been with during college years. He also shared some of the places he has been through during his stay in Middle East. Out of our conversation, I couldn’t imagine how really beautiful Dubai is. There are rumors he mentioned to me about the New Hotel Dubai, which will truly add beauty to Dubai. Wow! It is really my dream to see the place personally. I love to see in person what makes the place so special.

My best friend Marlou is planning to go back home soon and have his own business here in our country. He works hard and saves money for his future plan to have his own family and kids. One thing he told me that catches me to think of, “You should work hard to make your future baby has the brighter and better future in which you desire him/her to have”.

He never misses any news to mention every time we had the chance of conversation. Even about his niece who is currently on the 6th grade now and same as with the other kids in our community who is also been addicted to computer games. Sheryl is one of his favorite nieces, who is soon celebrating her birthday. Marlou is planning to buy her a special gift on her upcoming birthday. One of Sheryl’s favorite game is monkey defense. Just like the other computer games she also enjoys playing it. One thing that is nice about Sheryl, she knows how to set her priorities aside from playing games, she also spend time doing her home works from school.

Black Sand Beaches

My Uncle’s private Golf Course

Are you fond of playing or watching outdoor sports? What particular sports you are in up to? Most people are fond of these popular ball sports like basketball, baseball, football, soccer, tennis, golf and etc. A person who used to get involved to any physical sports will never get tired when they get old. Living with a healthy and active lifestyle is very important factor to maintain a good and healthy body.

My uncle is much known of his achievements being a good man and popular lawyer in our town. He is a busy lawyer and usually spent most of his time in the office dealing and resolving legal problems of his clients. He never thought of being a busy man has a less of time to relax, time for his family and even time to exercise. On the peak of his career, he realized that the lifestyle he has been through was unhealthy. He needs to change and balance the wheel of life before it is too late.

My Uncle’s family owned a small private golf course with a little playground. Just recently he asked his colleagues to set time to play with him after work. He makes sure to have at least time to relax while doing a little of exercise. Playing golf is a way he thinks the best for him.

Tiger Woods is one of his favorite players in Golf and some how inspires him to play. My Uncle’s eldest son is very fond of gold and he used to play with him everyday. As a way of saying thanks to his father, my cousin wanted to surprise father on his birthday. He wanted his dad’s friends be there to celebrate and do some golf tournament for fun. As a preparation, he then decorates the golf course by putting some golf course signs that could add beauty to the site. Golf course signage is not just making the place beautiful but a great help to players who are not familiar with the game yet.

My cousin Bimbo got the idea of putting some golf course sign at their private golf course after watching the match in PGA tour where Tiger Woods played. Making a simple thing makes his father becomes happy on his birthday party.
