Putting Self into Action

As I woke up this morning, I dreamed about water, numbers, money and my family. So I said to myself, Lord let your will be done for me today for I know my life is in your hand. As I read Today’s Scripture of Joel Osteen Ministries found in Philemon 1:6, which says “And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ”. I feel that I am actually worried of something and it seems like I lost my faith in the Lord. The scripture today really fits into my spiritual needs. The Bible tells us that faith without work is dead. It means that if we don’t put our faith into action it is not really faith, but merely nice ideas. When God actually does work in our lives, it affects us through our words, thoughts, actions and life’s perceptions.
Then I realized that when certain worries about something will tend to affect me, I should not really worry. I ask God to work in my life instead, and He did perfectly to me this morning. I received blessings far more than I expect. I praise Him for His sustaining grace that is sufficient for those who believe in Him.

Senate President Manuel Villar

The Philippine Senate President Manuel Villar surrenders his position Monday afternoon November 17, 2008 due to lack of support of the majority. Villar resigned before being voted out during session and introduced to the public his replacement Senator Juan Ponce Enrile. Fourteen of the senators voted for Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile in motion nominating him as the new Senate President.
Villar stepped down earlier and didn’t wait for the Senate to introduce its Senate resolution on Monday afternoon’s session. He faces the inevitable ethics complaint based on the double entry budget for 2008 C-5 road project worth P 200 million. It was Sen. Panfilo Lacson who uncovered the alleged illegal 2008 national budget entry of two identical projects.

Lorena Rojas as Isabel Arroyo of El Cuerpo Del Deseo diagnosed with Breast Cancer

According to People En Spañol magazine dated October 3, 2008. Actress Lorena Rojas, 36, has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Although the news came as a shock to her, she is calm and relieved, since it was detected very early on.

"Her mammogram results came out positive. There was a small tumor, and it was confirmed that it was malignant," said the sister of Lorena, Mayra Rojas, to Televisa Espectáculos. Doctors detected a tumor in her mammogram, and although it was caught in its initial phase, she'll have to undergo vigorous treatment.
"Lorena is doing well, and she has hope. She has everyone's support, including Telemundo, which is the company she's working for now in the U.S”., said her sister, in reference to Lorena's telenovela Pecados ajenos. She will have surgery on the affected breast as soon as possible.
Lorena Rojas sent out the following press release to Latin Gossip Magazine: “The mystery of life doesn’t worry me; I fear the dark rift between ignorance and the little information that disarms anyone in the fight to defeat this illness; that is why I am in search of my shield and my spear to win this battle.”
We are sure you’re going to win this fight Ms. Lorena Rojas. We’re here praying for you. We know you’ll find your weaponry to beat this.

Breast Cancer

The National Breast Cancer Foundation estimates each year, over 200,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer and over 40,000 die. One woman in eight either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Approximately 1,700 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 450 will die each year. The National Cancer Institute and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommend women in their forties and older have mammograms every one to two years. (According to Breast Cancer Site)
A mammogram can often find a lump that is too small to be felt. Sometimes a woman finds a lump during a breast self-exam. During a regular physical exam, your doctor can check your breasts to look for lumps or changes. Sometimes the doctor will put a needle into the lump to take out some fluid or tissue (needle for biopsy).
Breast cancer is many women’s worst fear. But experts have made great progress in treating cancer. If it is found early, breast cancer can often be cured, and it is not always necessary to remove the breast. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives. The earlier a breast cancer is detected; the more likely it is that treatment can be curable.

The Body of Desire or "El Cuerpo Del Deseo"

I'm sure you've seen many good Latin soaps, even some great ones. As for me, I am a bit sad that the telenovela that I used to watch every afternoon has come to its end. Today, is the end part the soap and though it took us long to see the whole part but its worth waiting for. Not once I felt tired of watching it vividly.
I’d never seen one that takes my breath away with its Passion scenes like El Cuerpo del Deseo does. “El Cuerpo Del Deseo” means “The Body of Desire”. The title has strong implication about the whole story itself.

Do you believe in Life’s Second Chance or Reincarnation?

Well, this is the exact happening of the soap when Pedro Jose Donoso, a wealthy old man fell in love with a gorgeous and ambitious younger woman, Isabel Arroyo. He dies suddenly, but returns to Earth through passing of a soul into another body after death or transmigration, in the body of Salvador Cerinza, a handsome and poor family man. Pedro Jose searches for everything he lost, uncovering secrets, truths and deceptions. Ultimately, he must set things straight and save those who truly loved him.
