Breast Cancer

The National Breast Cancer Foundation estimates each year, over 200,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer and over 40,000 die. One woman in eight either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Approximately 1,700 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 450 will die each year. The National Cancer Institute and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommend women in their forties and older have mammograms every one to two years. (According to Breast Cancer Site)
A mammogram can often find a lump that is too small to be felt. Sometimes a woman finds a lump during a breast self-exam. During a regular physical exam, your doctor can check your breasts to look for lumps or changes. Sometimes the doctor will put a needle into the lump to take out some fluid or tissue (needle for biopsy).
Breast cancer is many women’s worst fear. But experts have made great progress in treating cancer. If it is found early, breast cancer can often be cured, and it is not always necessary to remove the breast. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives. The earlier a breast cancer is detected; the more likely it is that treatment can be curable.

The Body of Desire or "El Cuerpo Del Deseo"

I'm sure you've seen many good Latin soaps, even some great ones. As for me, I am a bit sad that the telenovela that I used to watch every afternoon has come to its end. Today, is the end part the soap and though it took us long to see the whole part but its worth waiting for. Not once I felt tired of watching it vividly.
I’d never seen one that takes my breath away with its Passion scenes like El Cuerpo del Deseo does. “El Cuerpo Del Deseo” means “The Body of Desire”. The title has strong implication about the whole story itself.

Do you believe in Life’s Second Chance or Reincarnation?

Well, this is the exact happening of the soap when Pedro Jose Donoso, a wealthy old man fell in love with a gorgeous and ambitious younger woman, Isabel Arroyo. He dies suddenly, but returns to Earth through passing of a soul into another body after death or transmigration, in the body of Salvador Cerinza, a handsome and poor family man. Pedro Jose searches for everything he lost, uncovering secrets, truths and deceptions. Ultimately, he must set things straight and save those who truly loved him.

Davao's Durian Fruit

My Brother-in-law and Sister just arrived from Davao. They brought us the Stinky Smell Davao’s proudest fruit “Durian”. The Davao region has been known as the durian capital of the Philippines. According to Sun Star Davao, the region produces at least 16 varieties of durian, eleven of which are registered with the National Seed and Industry Coucil.
Durian Fruit is Famous for its odor. People’s opinion about the quality of the fruit is quite opposite. Most people especially the foreigners are commented that, “they can stand on the taste of durian fruit but not the smell. It smells like hell but it tastes like heaven.”
Durian fruit is becoming more expensive. August to October is known as the season months of durian fruit. Hopefully we could visit Davao again during the seasons.

It is a great day that the Lord has made!!

As I wake up this morning. All I did is just praising God for His marvelous works done in to my life for these past days. I am not physically and emotionally stable but I never stop praising His name for I know He is the source of my strength. By praising God at all times, what happens in the natural with rain, will be the same spiritually over your lives; a cloud can only hold so much condensation, so many vapors, before it releases.
In the Bible, David the psalmist said, “I will keep on hoping for You to help me. I will praise You more and more.”
And when we decide to give God praise, something powerful and supernatural happens. Peace, joy and divine favor begin to rain down over our lives. “God is good all the time,” that cloud can only hold so much before the blessings come bursting back down. When you stay full of praise, God’s blessing will begin raining down, making sure that you are always in blossom; causing you to bloom where you’re currently planted, even if you’re in a dry spell!
